Dr. Kate Kirby has worked at the highest level of sport for over a decade and has provided her expertise to numerous governing bodies, including Irish Sailing, Rowing, Hockey and Tennis, as well as Horse Sport Ireland and the IRFU. She has also worked as a sport psychologist with numerous inter-county GAA teams and worked for 4 years as a player development manager with Rugby Players Ireland. In addition, Kate works privately with athletes from individual sports such as golf and athletics, as well as players from a broad range of team sports. She has attended both the London and Rio Olympic Games as a member of Team Ireland’s support staff, and her contribution to Annalise Murphy’s Olympic silver medal through their long-standing work together has been widely acknowledged.
Prior to qualifying as a Sport Psychologist, she spent a number of years working as a stock market day trader. Originally from Clonakilty, Kate now lives in Dublin with her husband and 2 young children. She enjoys playing tennis in her spare time.
