Cork Woman: 25 year old Phil Healy hauls from Ballineen Cork

Ireland’s Fastest Woman: Holds the 100m & 200m Irish Record and 200m Indoor Irish Record. The Irish International sprinter set a new Irish Record of 11.28 in June 2018, she followed this up by setting a new 200m record of 22.99 in July 2018. In 2020 Phil set a new Irish Indoor record when winning the Athlone Indoor Grand Prix. These incredible achievement has cemented her claim as sprinting queen of Ireland.

Resilient:  In 2019 12 weeks after breaking her foot while walking down a cobbled street, Phil Healy stepped onto the track for the 200m at World University Championships in the Stadio San Paolo in Naples. It was pure steely determination which created minor miracle for Phil Healy to not only be back on the track but competing at a major world championships.

Going Viral: Known for her gutsy attitude to racing a video of Phil winning the final leg of the 4 x 400 metre Irish University Championships in 2016 went viral around the world as the ‘ultimate come back’.

Stem: A Waterford Institute of Technology Scholarship athlete, she is currently studying a master’s in Enterprise Computer Software.

Key Achievements

2020:  Set a new Irish Indoor 200m record of 23.10 which was fastest time overall in European for the indoor 2020 season.

2019 World University Finalist in the 200m in Naples, Italy.

2018 European Athletics Championships , semi-finalist 100m & 200m and member of 4x100m team who set a new Irish Record. Set a new Irish 200m Record of 22.99 on the 16th of July. Set a new Irish 100m Record  of 11.28 on the 6th of June. 11th in the 400m World Indoor Athletics Championships, March 2018 Produced a world class performance at the International Vienna Indoor Gala meet winning the 400m in a world lead time of 52.08.
